‘retouching’ is a term i think a lot of creatives fear - if a shot is THAT good, it shouldn’t need retouching. what i’ve learned in 4 years of industry experience as a professional retoucher is that it’s not actually about ‘fixing’ things (thank god, we don’t need to be fixed) - it’s about elevation. taking a shot and making it look the best it can possibly be. and that can’t always be caught on camera, especially when venturing into the ethereal. i’ve retouched and graded images for ALDI, Tourism Tasmania, NSW Health, and countless more. i live and breathe Adobe Photoshop, so if you’re looking for a freelancer for long-term or short-term projects please get in touch!
